Yesterday the news broke that JailbreakMe.com had been sold to an unknown person, creating a bit of panic in the jailbreak community after a few prominent iOS hackers had suggested not to use the site anymore for security reasons.
As it turns out, JailbreakMe.com is now a safe place again, thanks to saurik, who apparently purchased the domain name from the previous owner…

Yesterday, we learned that jailbreakme.com was sold in July; today, I talked with the new owner: he is actually very likable and awesome. ;P
…and tonight, jailbreakme.com was transferred to me (convenient, as I host the site ;P); so, going forward, we no longer need to worry!
Everything is back to normal. It is completely safe to use JailbreakMe to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad on iOS 4.3.3.
Now we’re just hoping for a userland exploit for iOS 5!
